WELCOME!

NEKPA welcomes you! The Northeast Knox Preservation Association is made up of local people who want the best for their community and are willing to get involved to make good things happen. The purposes for which the Association is formed are:

  • To protect and promote the rural, agricultural, residential zoning of this area as determined by Northeast Sector Plan of the Metropolitan Planning Commission of Knox County, Tennessee;
  • To protect against destruction, degradation, and encroachment upon residential and historical structures and farms;
  • To encourage uses which will lead to the preservation of the rural agricultural residential character of the area;
  • To prevent the creation of and to address existing environmental influences adverse to such purposes;
  • To protect and promote Northeast Knox schools, churches, and civic organizations;
  • To protect and promote the quality of life in the area by seeking support for the establishment of parks, walking trails, soccer fields, and other family recreational facilities.
